Angus Glens Liaison Officer (LEA 111)
This project will ensure: -
• The creation of a community-based employment opportunity which is in turn supporting a range of small and family businesses in the area.
• The promotion and support of public discussion on the development of the area as a whole.
• The provision of practical help to a range of new initiatives, such as the Glenesk Project and Clova Heritage.

The Angus Glens website is operational, with its technical, web-based content management and financial management under the control of a capable local management committee

The website has an average of 12981 monthly ‘enquiries’.
• Visitors January 2004 – 22nd November 2004 = 142791.
• June and July were the highest months with 18929 and 18916 visitors respectively.
• Actual page hits average 25698 per month.

The aim of this project is to provide development and support to: -

a) new initiatives
b) established groups and businesses, to make use of the website for the above purposes.

This assistance will take the form of co-working through: -
• Local consultation
• Project definition
• Research and collection of information
• Writing clear and concise presentations
• Digital photography and insertion of video clips

The project worker will give priority to supporting emerging businesses and initiatives.

This will result in: -

• Each community/settlement in the area describing and presenting their community, to create an overall description of the area as a whole.
• Individual groups/businesses advertising on the website.
• Establishment of local dialogue groups within the website where local issues will be discussed.
