Cairngorm Leader - Cairngorms Local Action Group

The idea is to create this fixture as an annual event between the champions of Ireland and the Champions of Scotland in Shinty and Hurling. This is initially a pilot project, running for 3 years, culminating in 2007 Highland Year of Culture to see where the appropriate standard sits as the fixture will not enthuse participants if it is too one sided. We intend to approach Highland Year of Culture to assist in funding the remaining 2006 and 2007 years however due to time restrictions and funding criteria we have not been able to apply for this in 2005.
