| To upgrade a 0.5km section of path to all-ability standard, from Grant Park to the River Spey. The repairs will also ensure that floods in the Kylintra Burn do not wash out the path. To improve access into the Anagach Woods from Spey Avenue, where access along the road is currently dangerous and the path hazardous in wet or icy weather. To upgrade footpaths in the Anagach Woods in order to improve access for the elderly, those with mobility carriages and for parents with children in buggies. To encourage a greater number of people into the woods and to provide a more appealing footpath network for locals and visitors This project is very much in support of the Access for All legislation and will provide the first all access path for Grantown. Fran Pothecary of the Cairngorms National Park Authority has confirmed that the path is a relevant part of the local path network and has given her advice and support to the project. | |
