Badenoch & Strathspey Primary Schools St Andrew’s Day Celebration
To provide an opportunity for all children of primary school age to come together to share and enjoy the work they have done in celebration of their shared heritage and culture in a presentation for St Andrew’s Night.

The 10 primary schools within Badenoch & Strathspey wish to work together to present a celebration of Scottish, and specifically Highland, cultural and heritage activities, culminating in a series of activities on St Andrew's Day.
Each school will work on its own chosen theme within the programme, developing art, drama, language and musical skills.
Schools will also develop and strengthen community links and there will opportunities for members of the communities to join with the children in a number of cultural initiatives.
Each school will produce one section of a large visual display, the whole of which will form a backdrop to the final presentation.

The final presentation will take place in two parts:
a) on the afternoon of St Andrew's Day, all primary children will gather in Aviemore. Due to the high numbers involved, 2 venues will be used: P1-3 classes will meet in the Primary school, for a series of relevant workshops, presentations and 'community singing'; P4 - 7 classes will join forces in the Aviemore Mountain Resort theatre to share the results of their preparatory workshops and 'community singing'.

b) in the evening, a representative selection of the presentations given in the afternon will be invited to return to put on a concert for parents, friends and the public. This will be supported by the Fèis Spè Ceilidh Band
