The aim of the project is to carry out a feasibility study into the development of a forestry based visitor attraction at Pannanich Wood, Ballater. Independent expert consultants will be employed to carry out the study. The consultants appointed will investigate all options for the site and assess each against the aspirations of the Steering Group and local community, capital costs and availability of funding, financial viability, impact on existing tourist attractions, potential economic benefits to Ballater and Deeside and the overall sustainability of the project. This project was approved on the 11th December 2003. The total cost of this project is £14,000 with a contribution of 45% from Cairngorms LEADER+
