To re-establish a Pipe Band, covering the area of Badenoch & Strathspey and attracting membership from throughout the area. To provide and maintain the heritage of piping and drumming To encourage and educate young persons in the art of piping and drumming To create a pipe band which is capable of participation in competitions at the highest possible grade To voluntarily provide entertainment to a variety of local and national audiences To provide an important addition to tourist services in the area This project was approved on the 11th December 2003. The total cost of this project is £75,000 with a contribution of 45% from Cairngorms LEADER+
