| To create a “Taster” Concert in the Victoria Hall Ballater on the 5th of August 2005. This will be especially shaped to introduce the audience to the River Festival aims and ambitions, and at the same time open up the opportunity for the wider community to become involved. The Friday before the event will have workshops on the festival concept, inviting all interested groups to provide their thoughts on the findings of the initial audit of existing cultural groups and how they would like to take the work forward. They will also be asked to consider what form the community would like the final programme and concert to take. These workshops will also allow access to the concept to any who may not have already taken part. The musicians will also be asked to hold musical workshops as part of the event, particularly aimed at involving young people in the area but open to all. | |
